Question:
I have an audi 1994 cs 100
There is a slight leak in the resivoir not a big leak and not a huge deal. I believe there is a leak like a weep hole somewhere near the water pump. What would be a fair price to make a similar repair to this one? I def. know that it is not leaking from the radiatior. What else could it be and how much should I be ready to pay for?

At my shop, diagnosis is a must, even if it just varifies the problem (No, we're not doing it for the money, we're doing it to cover our *** incase something else is also happening). I don't know the pricing for that car, but since its an Audi, expect to pay more. Since they are not an overly common car, I wouldn't expect that a slavage yard would have the resivor, which would make it a Dealer Only item, sorry, no aftermarket on these. If it is leaking from the weep hole in the water pump, then the water pump would need to be changed, this is usually a sign of bad bearings. I'm not sure on how much this would cost, as I have never had to do one or price one out for this car. I would be guessing in and about the $1000CDN range, as to it being an Audi, and I believe that the timing belt drove these, so that should be done too, if that so bes the case. I'm not saying that is the price, that is just a rough guess, it will vary from shop to shop, and from aria to aria. That is a rough number, it could be less, or it could be more. Depending on how bad it is leaking, and the milage of the car, and the overall condition of the car, and how much you want to pay, that is what you should be looking at when fixing it.My emergency brake light won't come off, what's wrong?
