Lincoln Town Car Idling rough?

Question:
I just bought the correct battery, correct plugs and wires oddly enough to help my town car run smoother but in fact it runs rougher especialy when I push the brakes in and I am waiting at a stop light. What should I do and what is causing this madness? Could it be the NEW carberator or is something grounding it out? Any info is appreciated, Thanks
