Where is the cabin filter in my 1997 ford f150?
marbles in a tin can? sounds like lifters. get that oil and filter changed, now. i believe it has hydraulic lifters, and oil that dirty can plug them up, hence the rattling. that is typically a really good trouble free engine. b take care of it.Is there a way to turn your car into a time machine?
have u checked your oil lately? your engine will start to knock due to lack of oil lubricating the engine which leads to a seized engineI have a 93' Saturn, the service engine soon light comes on , on & off, what is going on?
Go to a higher octane fuel or change the timing.Electronic Stability Control??
UPDATE: The knocking I'm referring to sounds like marbles in a tin can.
if it is an actual knock the answer is almost always a rod bearing if it is more of a ticking or tapping sound there are several possibilities lifters, valve adjustment, cam wear, timing chain, etc. a length of hose held to your ear and moved around till you find the source is a great way to narrow it down
What should my tire pressure be?
i've come across this before. most common problem was a bad fuel pump. they are mounted on the engine block and a seal occassionaly goes out causing it to spray fuel into the engine lubricating system (oil). the think you'll notice is that the oil level keeps getting higher and higher and yes it does smell of fuel. it's cleaning your engine but really thinning out your oil hence the engine knock. need to get it fixed really fast before more damage occurs. they have also been known to detonate, and i don't mean a gas knock i mean they will blow the oil pan right off.More Questions & Answers ...
