The Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL) should be located just under the lower dash edge above the gas pedal.
It will have 12 sockets inside the plug.
"G" is the lower left and "A" is the upper right.

Their is a wet or musty oder in my car,s carpet?

A jumper wire should have a 10amp fuse.
Just take a piece or wire aout 8 inches long.
Cut it in half.
Strip on end about 1/4 inch and the other end about 1 inch on both pieces.
wind the long end of both pieces to the ends of a regular car fuse
You now have a fused jumper wire.
Best recommendation, buy very small aligator clips at Radio Shack (small enough to fit in plug holes) and install on one end of wires then soder the other end to the fuse..
