But I guess you mean without an ignition key, if so then you will have to try to hotwire it (connect the ignition wires so that the lock is bypassed).

you can start it without an ignition. You need to find out what wires run to the starter, battery, ignition coil or to the magneto (if equipped) depending if you have electronic start or a pull start. You would need to have power running through the quad to get it to turn over. Yes you can get an aftermarket ignition or factory replacement but they'll probably want proof that it is your quad in order to sell it to you.
