Question:
Greetings, all...
If anyone knows where I could get discounted(rebuilt?) yet quality clutch parts for the above mentioned car, this kind hearted, honest person would be greatly appreciative. (Pep Boys even beat out the dealer, charging $750.00 parts only!)I'lI also need a right front headlight assembly, power stereo anttenea and a right rear window(planned on "Pick & Pull" for those items unless someone already has them at a good price. A good friend has already offered to do the labor...guess that's a GREAT friend, actually!! Any info on rear speaker repair or replacement is also needed, but not the priority. I'm just really strapped for cash(of course bills, rent plus registration AND insurance are all due!! "Hard Times! I'm sure others can relate...I just really need to be mobile again ASAP!! Perhaps payments?? Partial barter?? Massage(s) and or computers(parts or whole) help out however?
fuel tank sending unit and pump any auto mechanic please help?
Thank you kindly for listening.

It depends on what your looking for. Are you looking to race? I bought an aftermarket clutch on ebay and have been very happy, installed it myself. It had much higher tolerances then the stock clutch. Stock and factory is not always the best. Many aftermarket products are made to fix weakness of the stock or factory parts. I can give you some good clutch names like ACT, Unorthodox, but i really doubt they would carry high end clutchs for that type of vehicle, furthermore they are very expensive. Also dealerships overcharge and in many times do shotty work at best. If your looking for a stock clutch the ones on ebay are just as good if not better for a better price. It is more important that everything being installed correctly and proper break in procedures are used, this is how must failures in new clutches happen. Though the tech. below failed to mention that. The ones on ebay are just as good, just make sure it is installed right, that is where the problems become present. When technicians mess up, they blame it on lack of quality of the clutch. As long as sprungs are properly made into the disc, it is very rare, even with some cheap no name clutch to have a problem. Factory parts are no better and they just overcharge, just like the dealerships do for the labor of doing even the simplest of jobs. Which somehow they seem to manage to mess up on my car. Not that I am anything great, after talking to many technicians at dealerships, you find they really don't know that much in most cases, well good luck man.
are there any problems with the 1993 Astro Van?
Ya try this, I looked it up real fast on Ebay, good luck... http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll...
does anyone know of any protectants for leatherette seats?
like try www.ebay.com man they got every thing. Some people will disagree with me, but anything you buy at discount is not quality. Usually the best thing for your car is what comes from the dealer. And never buy any clutches or brake parts from advance auto parts or auto zone, they suck. I know that the dealer is usually way more than anyone else but those parts are made and fitted best to work with your car, the reason they chose those parts is because they usually perform best. You dont have to take my advise but I have seen the effects of aftermarket parts too many times. You may not be saving any money if you have to change the clutch out several times.
