Can anyone tell me how to adjust the bands on an older model turbo 400 transmission in a chevy blazer?

the trans slips a little but i cant remember the torque and the torque sequince if anyone could help i would appreciate the help

I dont think you can on those transmissions. I could with the old MOPAR's but not the chevys. And if you have to pull it, why then just not rebuild it? Especially if you've gone through all the labor. Just a suggestion though.

The bands in the Turbo Hydramatics are not adjustable. The bands are tightened/loosened by servo pistons. If the bands wear to the point that the pistons can not tightend them they will need to be replaced as part of a complete overhaul.

Anyone have problems with xenon headlight bulbs ?


Slipping bands is a sure tell that a TH needs a rebuild.
