Question:
I have a '93 Altima, and it's been a really good car for me, hardly any major repairs ever needed. About a year ago, I began to hear a grinding noise whenever I would make a sharp turn. Then it would get worse and worse over a period of days. But I got a tip that I should check my power steering fluid and, sure enough, it was quite low. As soon as I added more fluid, the grinding noise was eliminated and the car ran smoother. But the problem is that I have had to keep doing this every couple of months. It always works, but I wonder if there's another underlying problem I need to check for.

2003 Chevy Malibu wheel bearing.?
Your car probably leaking the fluid somehow, you should find someone to check it b/c it might just be a cable or something cheap and easy to replace or it could be an actual hole somewhere that needs to be fixed or it could get worst.Trouble shooting with a Corsa 1.5 Diesel Merit can you help please?
Your power steering system is leaking........maybe you should get it fixed??Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to replace a 98 ford taurus motor, labor included?
You should have your power steering wheel system looked at and it is possible you have a leak some where, and grinding noise is not a good sound to hear when you turning a car left or right. You should never turn your steering wheel all the way either left or right which could do damage to steering wheel and could rip the CV boots which holds the grease in the bearings of the wheel or get rocks in there and could do serious damaged to wheel. I wish you lot of luck of having hardly any damage and costless repairs.where can i find a part for my car?
anytime you have to add power steering fluid you have a problem someplace with it leaking out, check all the hoses going from it and then check the steering rack on your firewall as the rack could be leaking, might have to replace it, expensive job.Is Sears Auto Care a good place to start for a newbie mechanic?
