Something wrong with my car!?

Question:
When my car is idling, the rev. would go up and down between 800 and 1100 continuously. At the same time, the engine would produce a noise like" ng ng ng ng". Anybody knows the problem??

Answers:

what is the best oil to use for GTV2.0?

Depending on the year of Contour, there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) for an updated air inlet tube, with a "muffler" attached to cancel out a "hooting" noise during idling. But what you are describing sounds like a vacuum leak, which could be upper-to-lower intake gaskets, or an IAC valve, or cracked PCV hose. None of the above mentioned problems are difficult repairs. Hope this helps.

My 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix won't shift right and now I can't get the key out, why is this?

Why won't my car start?

The revolution jumps are probably because of misfiring. Might want to get the engine checked out.

what are the solutions to the problem of a m.a.p.sensor failing on a fiat stilo year 02 thanks for help so far

there are a lot of things that could cause that problem see if your car will produce a code to find out what the problem could be .

i have a craked cadillac engyne how can i fix it?

If FORD it may have a bad IAC valve (Idle Air Control) valve

how to remove bed from 1991 ford ranger.....see screws in bed ..are these removed and slide off bed?

Try the air intake valve sensor, they get dirty quickly. And if its a ford they are well known for their sensors to go bad... You would have to replace this part because there isnt a way that you can "clean" it without either damaging the part nor actually cleaning it to make it work. Hopefully this works!

why would my car just stop driving? I was driving and then it came to a complete stop and would not turn on?

i own a shop, and first you need to take it by auto zone and have them scan it to see if It has any trouble codes in it,,this will help narrow it down a lot ,,right now there's about 25 things that can actually cause it to do this,,have it scanned and see what code if any comes up on it,,good luck, hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

what is psi?

You didn't include the type of car but generally speaking what you're describing sounds like the computer is getting a faulty signal from one of the sensors (O2, MAP, MAF, EGR...). Prior to paying someone to scan it, if you haven't done a tune-up recently try that first including plug wires, cap and rotor as well as all of the filters and PCV valve. This could solve your problem but even if you have a bad sensor having something like a bad plug wire can cause more codes and needless replacement of sensors which may be reading correctly that your car is not firing properly. Merry Christmas.

I have a Ford Focus stuck in park.?

try cleaning out the throttle body with carb.cleaner.sounds like it has trouble breathing, also check the air filter.

I`m don`t know what I`m need to do!?

Do not use carb cleaner to clean a throttle body, use throttle body cleaner only. Throttle body's have a factory installed coating(most of them) that will be washed off be with the more caustic carb cleaner, this will/may cause the throttle butterfly(s) to stick most likely causing a rather high idle condition necessitating the purchase of a rather expensive throttle body.
