It's either the starter, or the carburetor. Once the battery is recharged it shouldn't be responsible for this problem.

Where can I go online to see diagrams/pictures of my ford truck engine?

Where to start...
If you've never changed the battery, your battery could be bad and won't hold a charge. Take it to Autozone, NAPA, etc and they can check it for you and even help you put a new one in. Your alternator is probably powering the vehicle because your battery can't hold a charge. I'd also have them check the alternator b/c it should charge without holding the gas pedal. Might not be the alternator, could be a loose belt that is the culprit of the alternator not keeping the vehicle going.

Is it Rocket fuel in 1st stage burns cleaner than Gasoline''whatever it was? how about green gas?

If the problem (though I'm not saying it is) is that there isn't enough spark, perhaps it would help to replace the spark plugs and plug wires. A few years ago, one might also replace the rotor (not related to the brakes) and the distributor cap, but I honestly don't know whether modern vehicles have these latter parts.

It probably wouldn't hurt to visit http://www.cartalk.com/ to see if there are similar anecdotes posted there, and if solutions were posted. I listen to the show but I rarely use the website.
