you remove the two little covers at the top of the engine,on each head and adjust them when up on top dead center,,it has marks to go by for tdc on it,,good luck,i have one is how i know this,,good luck hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

take the head off the gennie and youll find that you can turn the valves if you cant you will have to tap them with a rubber mallet just be really carfull as they would be made from cast alloy
