It should be. Why dont you just try a lite one first to try to see if it works. They make some that comes in a spray bottle called Quick Detailer and it works on getting out some scratches and it leaves a lite finish on the clear coat.yes it is,,id use a real good polish on it,,the better the polish the better it will help protect the paint,,good luck, hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.
Sure you car polish it.But before you do you better find out if the scratch is in the clearcoat or all the way through to the basecoat. If it's only in the clearcoat then use a cleaner wax made for clearcoat paint and polish it !!VERY SOFTLY!! or you will make more scratches. If the scratch is all the way through to the basecoat then it's time to contact a professional who repairs scratches in paint as it's a very involved repair at that point. that involves applying and blending new paint and clearcoat to fix the scratch. After you have the scratch repaired either way I would wait about a month and then apply a good heavy coat of (POLISH ONLY) wax after washing and drying the car COMPLETELY and then repeat that four (4) times a year though you should wash and COMPLETELY dry your car weekly so that any other scratches or chips are found before they cause problems.
why is my car a piece of crap?
wax will soften your paint i would get the scratch out in that spot but i would not wax the hole car until the paint had a time to harden. Paint on a new car or a repainted car is soft and will scratch Essy for the first six months if it is cold it will take it a year two harden but it should not heart it to take the scratch out in a small spot. make shear that the wax if clear coat safe they make a wax you can get at wall mart called cratch out it do's not have abrasive in it but work great for tine scratchesMore Questions & Answers ...
