When I turn on the turn signal it blinks for a bit then goes solid on, until I turn it off with the switch, however, sometimes the signal works as it is supposed too. Both the left and right signals do the same thing, the hazards still work as advertised.

it sounds like your flasher for your signals is failing.Change the ¨Flasher¨. It is the relay that control the turning signal . It is not the same as one that controls the hazards.
i would start by replacing turn signal flasher. it is a relay.
