I'm having trouble finding the problem. I have taken it to have a diagnostic test, but they say they cannot find the problem because of the year and make.

sounds like the throttle body valve is sticking- take the air inlet housing apart and spray some carb cleaner in the housing where the valve is located. This should help. Had the same problem with my Dodge Intrepid and it cost me approx. $100.00 to find out the shop sprayed some carb cleaner in the housing. sure was some expensive spray!Have you done a tune up and such? Also changed filters, and replaced the wires and the cap and rotor? Those would help some, and you may also want to clean the throttle body with the throttle body cleaner. Get some of that oild and carbon cleaned off them sensors in there. Hope these help. Good luck.

start by replace all your filters air pcv and fuel filter if that don't work try your o2 sensor and maybe your EGRhave u give it a good tune up latty? like new spark plugs new spark plug wires cap and rotor and put a new coil on it
try some of that stuff frist
