Question:
I have a 2001 Grand Am that leaks on the passenger side. It comes in somewhere around the door and runs to the floor and sometimes I swear I need scuba equipment in order to get in the car! It's INSANE! I've talked to the dealership and they don't know anything about it but from everything I've read on the net, this is a VERY COMMON issue. Has anyone had this problem? How did you get it resolved? Do you know where the leak is coming from?
Answers:
Let me first introduce you to all these fact:
If water get inside you car when you wash your car or when it runs definitely has to do with the Dody car seal( windshield gasket, door gasket)
0r some debris (tree lives or other dirt)under the hood near the windshield
But, if the water gets inside your car when you turn your AC "on";
That has to do with the over flow -tub is being CLOGGED.
But, if the water gets inside your car while you are loosing some engine coolant ; that has the do with the heater core i s leaking.
Nevertheless, your problem is easy to be solved.
You need to find some one who is very smart to determine the source of that problem.
more than likely it's your windshield leaking and the water is running down behind the dash onto the floor, any good dealer can find the leak.
