I did a carfax report on a couple cars I was interested in and it said that they were involved in accidents and the right pillar was damaged and should be inspected. What is the right pillar?

Quiet down class, quiet down. Here's the deal: The roof of the common car is supported by pillars. They are known as A pillars, B pillars, and C pillars. The A pillars are the front ones. They are located where the windshield meets the front side windows. The B pillars, if your car has them, are between the front side windows and the rear side windows. Not all cars have B pillars supporting the roof, but if they have 4 doors, there is usually a pillar between the front and rear doors. The C pillars are the back ones. They don't always look like pillars, but they are supporting members for the roof. Because these pillars need to support not only the roof, but if the car flips in a wreck, nearly the entire weight of the car, they need to be exceptionally strong. They are also a structural part of the car, and a very important part of the "crushable" design of modern cars that are designed to absorb and disperse the impact of a wreck. If they are damaged at all, let's say bent in a wreck or welded on by a body shop, they will not be able to support the weight of the car, and they may not be able to protect you if you crash. Perhaps the most important pillar is the B pillar, because it protects you if you are broadsided and there is little else to protect you. It is often where the shoulder harnesses connect. Basically, if you are looking at a car that has been in a wreck serious enough to cause structural damage to the car, you need to look elsewhere.my SUV temp gauge does not ever move off of the cool side...does my termostat need changing??
Pillar usually is the door pillar(where the door bolts to), If it's a four door it could be the pillar between the front and rear doors, and on any car it could be the window pillar( the section of metal between the windshield and the side window.replaced fuel pump on 1999 blazer?
The "A" pillar is between the windshield and front door. The "B" pillar is between the front and rear doors on a four door.
Both are at eye ball height.
And how did you manage to pick two cars with pillar damage?
