I have 1993 Full Size Bronco. I just changed the front disc brake pads. What would cause some knocking?

Question:

Answers:

converter is plugged what should i do?

I hope you remembered to put the caliper retaining spring back in. If you didn't, it can cause the caliper to flop around on the caliper bracket. The spring looks like a miniature version of the leaf springs that hold the rear axle in place on the frame. One end of it has a flat spot on it so it can be tapped back into place with a hammer. The caliper should be on the caliper bracket very tight. If you can slide it around easy, then that is missing and you will either need to find the originals, or order new ones. FYI, if you do have a high spot on the rotor, it will make a "fwish fwish" sound that will increase/decrease with speed, and may go away when you apply pressure to the brakes. This will decrease over time.

what does the inlet size on mufflers matter?

If you didn't have the rotors machined, they're not perfectly flat. A high spot may be hitting the pad. It'll probably go away.
