Exhaust system?

How to install a dual exhaust if i have a single exhaust? Can i have a dual exhaust in a 86 gmc? Does smog restrict it i live in california.

Can't do it in california. You can marry a horse but can't can't change the exaust on your car. You can take pipes in the rear in california but cannot change the pipes in the rear due to carb restrictions. Messed up huh.
