Question:
IS Mirror tint legal? what is tint laws
Answers:
what would cause my car to just sputter and shut off even when in motion?
Window tint laws apply to windows only as I understand the statutes,& vary from state to state. It would be my thoughts that "tinted" mirrors would
present a safety issue depending on the degree or
percent of tint applied.
I would inquire of a few state insp.stations as to
current regs.A lot of interpretation is left to the
descretion of the individual stations. So get their
thoughts.
Window tint laws dictate the maximum degree of tint
allowed by statute.Once again,at least in Pa.,
whether or not you get cited is left up to the cop.
However,in this state the burden of proof is on the
them.
Rule of thumb...the more difficult it is for "John-
Law" to see into your vehicle, the more likely it is for you to be pulled over for routine check &/or
cited.
This is understandable. How would YOU feel about app-
roaching a vehicle that you cannot SEE into?
Bottom line...if you don't want to draw attention
from the law enforcement community or risk a citation,I wouldn't suggest any more than a 40 to
45% tint.
More better to cruise around in a 2001,"Plain-Jane",
F-150 than a "competition-yellow" Lamborghini if you
want to avoid unwanted attention from the "law."
Ha.Ha.
