Okay I just noticed when i turn my heat on in my car, nothing comes out the vents. It comes out the defroster. Do you guys think i just need to go get it cleaned? Could something be clogging it up?

The first thing is to check the settings on your heater controls. Get your owners manual out and see what it advises. Check the intake, and output vents to make sure they are not blocked. The control knobs, may not be taking up the cables controlling the vent openings, or the cables could be broken. it sounds like a heater control valve. it is fairly easy to change, just two heater hoses and a vacuum line connect to itturn the selector knob to the vents, not defrost.

I would check your temp control. It sounds like it is not communicating to open the flapper valve to allow the heat to go through the other vents. What about on cool? Same thing?when starting my vahicle it makes rattling noise underneath front n/s can it be driveshaft?
not being able to look at I can't tell for sure , but you obviously either have a problem with a cable or a relay or sensor , the good news is you have defrost , imagine if you had warm feet and a foggy windshield , look at the firewall on the passenger side and see if there is an outside arm/with cable attached and try to move it or if something is unplugged (wires) all the mechanic's are in that spot ...How hard is it to install a Windsheild wiper multi switch in a 1994 Firebird?
It's a diverter door in the ducting that isn't moving. I don't know if it's a cable or vacuum operated on your Jeep tho.More Questions & Answers ...
