How long does a brake job on a car usually take to do?

Question:

Answers:

I have a crack (not a chip) in my windscreen and it's heated. Is it Autoglass job or a ford job?

It took me a day when I had to change the disks, which is why I am a software engineer and not a car mechanic.

Do I have to use same manufacture's tire to replace the flat one ?

Depends on the car and the experience level of the person doing the brake job. Disc brake systems don't take as long as drum brake systems, and anti-lock systems take a little longer because you have to be more careful so you don't damage anything. I'm not a professional mechanic but I've done several brake jobs, and it takes me about two to three hours to do a brake job on a vehicle with the standard front disc brakes and rear drum brakes (not anti-locks). That includes replacing the pads, having the discs and drums turned, bleeding the brake lines, and replacing the brake hardware in the rear drums.

when i start the car it's a clicking sound?

Well for one it depends on what vehicle it is and two it depends if you are installing pads on the front or shoes on the rear if you have drum brakes in the rear. And lastley how mechanically inclined the person is who is working on it.

My car has no power?

it depends on who is doing it .what kind of car .?
