ABS Warning Light on dashborad. What does it mean?

Question:
My ABS warning light on my dashboard comes on at times when I start my car. If I trun my car off and start at some other time, it does not come on? So the warning light seems to have a mind of its own !!

The ABS light indicates your braking system for anti-lock brakes
when you first start your car the indicator light should come on and then go out to show you the indicator is working.
However if the ABS light stays on then you should have your braking system checked
