timing is slightly off or more likely O2 sensor is bad.
buy a tank of premium ( use Chevron or Shell gas) and put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner

sounds like your fuel filter may be plugged. its fuel injected so the fuel filter is located along the frame on the driver's side about mid way on the car. It's inexpensive to replace and probably needs it. Easy to replace too.

I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus and have steering problems?

If you can't run a diagnostics.......make sure it isn't just a tuneup problem by pulling each plug wire one at a time to see if one cylinder isn't firing while the engine is running. (it is easier to do this at the coils, not the plugs) Be careful you might get a jolt. Replace plugs, wires, or coil pack as needed. If you need a coil pack, 2 of the plugs won't be firing from the same coil pack. If not, try unplugging the mass air flow first and see if it runs better. If it does, clean the air flow sensor or replace as needed. Those are the most common problems on the Lumina. If neither of those suggestions help you, then you will have to run the engine codes to find out what sensor is not reacting. With a fresh tuneup and all sensors working, if there is still a problem, then you have a stuck valve. Chances are that you will fix it long before you get to that point. GOOD LUCK!
