Nissan Micra won't run?

Question:
I've just acquired a T-reg Micra that's been standing for a year without being started - it's had new spark plugs and I've drained/refilled the oil but it won't start at all. Turns over as normal but won't fire. Any idea what it could be?

Also drain the old gas and put in new. Change all filters and it sounds strange but even if its fuel injected, pump the accelerator atleast 5 times before turning over the key.

Then after doing so hold the accelerator down to the floor while turning over the key. If you flood it, just let it sit for awhile and try again.
