CALLING ALL MECHANICS! What is the HEART OF AN ENGINE???

Question:
Well I'm sorry for not getting back to the votes. But those of you who decided the OIL PUMP was the heart, were bang on the money. The oil pump is the heart of the engine, I had an engine have a heart attack one time, and it seized up on me, bummer huh.
Yes the engine does need everything else to help it run but the purpose of the heart is to pump blood, and the oil is the blood in the engine, if the heart stops it will seize up and not go any more true that huh LOL. well there is some talent out there ok, thanks for your input.
