My front passenger side tire leans out, help!?

Question:
Not sure what it is, but it makes a grinding noise, unless that is the brakes which are almost totally out. But anyways, wondering what this could be, it doesn't sound or look good at all. Also, how much would it cost to fix on average. This is a 1994 ford explorer by the way. And if you could tell me how much with breaks being fixed and a couple used tires put on how much it would be that would be great. I know I need new break pads and possibly rotors. Please let me know what this would all cost to fix.

This is not an answer you can get on the web, the vehicle must be seen. Most places will give you a free estimate.

However, your tire leaning as you described is not a small issue. If the entire tire is bolted properly, either your wheel or your axle is bent. Both of these repairs are pretty expensive, but not fixing them can cause serious problems. If the bend or rift continues, the wheel can come off completely or the axle can finish breaking. Get it seen by an auto body shop pronto. After you have the estimate, you can figure out whether it is more feasible to fix or replace the car. It is probably not safe to drive though.

I read that thicker oils are appropriate for older vehicles. What's old? Mine is a '72 P/U and "95 Tracker.

It likely is the brakes, if you know you need pads and rotors, why are you driving, taking a chance that the brakes will fail, and you will wreck. If you need brakes all the way around, it could cost several hundred dollars. A couple tires is a couple hundred dollars. I don't know why your tire leans out, maybe the it's the way it is wearing because of the brake issues. You need to get this fixed pronto.

The windshield of my car is cracked. Does anyone know a place where I can get a new one which is cheap?

If the wheel is leaning, you've got more going on than just worn pads or rotors. Figure out what caused it and maybe your insurance will cover it. If it was the other driver's fault and they can recover their costs they probably won't raise your rates.

You are saying the tire leans out. So the camber is out? If that is the case, get the car to the shop. Something isn't right. I would guess by the time you are done with the brakes, it'll wind up 4-500 dollars.

Help! 1987 chevy suburban 1/2 ton not charging battery. New alternator, Battery, checked grounds.?

rotors usually 50.00 - 120.00 a peice.brake pads, usually 30.00-75.00 for a set.its not hard to do a brake job...invest in a haynes manual...the tire leans out?.ooh boy thats dangerous i would have that checked out.cuz you could one just try to turn it and the whole assembly just collapse...sounds to me like a control arm, theres two upper and lower...i would think its the upper...that normally shits out on people alot.if its not that i think maybe tha a-arm...good luck.hope this helps you...oh by the way easily 340.00 for a shop to change your brakes(not including the price of rotors).if you do it...no more then 250.00

How do i get an estimate for a pain job for my car?

I would not begin to guess the costs, since I can't see the vehicle from here. The tire problem could be just alignment issues, or it could be something broken and you could be about to lose that front tire. I would suggest getting it fixed or not driving it at all.

How much do volts wagons (bugs) cost?

break (v.) To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash.
brake (n.) A device for slowing or stopping motion, as of a vehicle, especially by contact friction.

How long do brakes usually last om your car before they have to be replaced.?

Therefore I assume you are asking about your brakes. Again it depends on how much damage has been done and what, if anything, needs to be replaced. Take it in, and ask them to give you an estimate before they start the work, and then you will know almost exactly what the costs will be.

About the leaning wheel, you have a suspension problem. You may need to replace a ball joint or suspension arm or suspension bushing, or a combination of these parts. Then you'll need a wheel alignment. An alignment shop should tell you exactly what parts you need and they may be able to execute the repairs for you and an alignment at the same time. This may be expensive, but make sure you get a warranty on the labor.
