my car is a 95 Honda and if I am waiting for the light to change, the temperature gage climbs. What do I do? Do I need a new gage??

If you are sitting at a light, with the engine running at idle, the temp may rise slightly but not by much unless there is a problem somewhere. It sounds like the temp gauge is working, that is why the temp gauge is rising.
If your Honda has an electric cooling fan, check and see if that's working, if it is, take a look at the radiator and see if it needs flushing. The other thing could be a thermostat that is sticking or getting ready to go bad.

A temperature gauge, is a gauge that measures temperature.

Depending on the temperature outside. If it is hot outside it could possibly be your fan. Your fan should come on if you turn your a/c on if it is then possibly you might start with flushing your coolant system. Then if this dont solve the problem change the gauge.

What can I do with my old oil, can I filter it through an old air filter and use it again or ?? Can it be mix

You probably need a new thermostat. When the car is moving, the air that is going by helps the engine temp stay down, so when it stops at a light or toll booth etc, the temperature rises, so the gauge moves up. I have had this happen before. The guage is working properly, the thermostat, which regulates the temperature of the motor (just like the thermostat regulates the temperature in your house) is going bad and needs to be replaced. It's not a huge repair, and shouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks max...cheaper if done by a corner mechanic than if done by the Honda dealer.

Can I use truck tires/SUV tires on my Chevelle?

If the temperture gauge is climbing, and the motor gets too hot, you will warp a head, or cause serious damage. You probably need the radiator flushed, motor flush, or simply the temperture gauge may need replacing. Don't keep driving and ignore the problem, it will only cost you money.

Chevy Avalanche Fuel pump?

1. It's not right
2. It's not the gauge problem

Is it possible to change manuel locks and windows to power, and how much would it cost?

The temp. gauge measures the temperatures in different areas of your car. Your car is overheating. You might have to take it into the shop and have them check the oil, pistons, piston rings, gaskets and etc. I would take it into a shop ASAP because you can burn the hell out of your engine by not taking it in.

Are there any advantages of a SOHC engine?

No, you need to fix the electric cooling fan which isn't coming on as it should. Quickly, before you warp the heads by overheating the vehicle.

How do you set the timing on a Ford 4.0 SOHC?

It tells you the temp of the coolant flowing through the engine. If it is heating up when idling, you may be low on coolant or have a weak water pump. Check the level in the radiator (Be sure it is cooled before opening) and if it is full get the problem checked by a good mechanic.
