Take it to a shop, if you need to pull the axles to get the rotors off this requires partial dissasembly of the differential (rear end--rear disks) OR removal of the rotor/Hub assembly from the spindles up front. which requires special tools. a "Floating" rotor however does not require the removal of anything except the caliper and then will slide right off since it floats (is not connected to) the hub/Axle.I need to know the paint code for my Metallic Silver Citroen saxo\?
Yes, on most 8-lug 4x4 truck hubs, the axles must come off/out to remove the rotor hat/drum, however the axle removal job is pretty straightforward and easy to do. I would recommend investing in a service manual from either Haynes or Chilton available at your local auto parts store for around $20. It will cover the procedure step by step in detail. Most just slide out once the retaining bolts are removed. Some are secured inside the axle housing using C-clips and will need to be pried or hammered out, and then hammered back in once they're re-installed. The book will cover the details specific to your truck. As to the floating rotor question, most automobiles and trucks do not have true floating rotors - they have movable floating calipers that slide back and forth instead. A true floating rotor is able to slide sideways along it's axis a few mm's. Many modern motorcycles use floating rotors, but most cars and trucks don't due to the minimum benefit vs. cost involved.
Your dealer will have good quality OEM rotors but at considerable expense. I've had good luck using Chinese steel rotors from eBay before. They were inexpensive enough that I figured I wasn't losing much if they didn't work out, however to my surprise, they outlasted the original factory rotors and were a pretty high quality product.
