Are steel-toe boots really safer?

Question:
I heard that if something REALLY heavy got dropped on your foot, the steel would squish your toes and keep them that way.

Answers:

Is it legal for car manufacurer to provide a spare tyre that has s smaller radial than the standard tyre?

i own a shop, and you just about heard it right,i had pair of them, and they did help save my toes once, but i have heard of several cases where people would be wearing them and something so heavy would fall on there toes, and they couldn't get the steel toe part off of there toes,so there's plus in wearing them and a negative also,i think id rather have them on,you still stand a better chance of keeping your toes than if you didn't have them on,good luck i hope this helps.

What was the stock motor on a 1966 Dodge Coronet?

Thats correct. The steel toes arent going to protect from REALLY heavy stuff. The metal will bend down and has been known to sever toes. The steel toesw protect from things like a dropped hammer or mallet..maybe some light hand tools. It is not perfect though..

How do I get rid of rust on my car?

They are. Even if the steel toe deforms, it already reduced the momentum of the falling object. If the same object falls in your unprotected toe, (heavy and fast enough to bend the steel toe) you wouldn't distinguish your toes from a ran-over frog at the highway.

98 Ford Mustang GT suspension problems.?

lol, steel toe boots are not for if somthing fall on your toe, i work at a railyard and if a railcar run on my toe with steel toe boots on, i wont have any toes, steel toe boots are not for anything crusing but to stop object from hitting your toes like hammers, heavy rocks or if a jack hammer fall on your feet, anything bigger than that may crush your toes. steel toe boots are for safety not to prevent crushing your toes, OSHA LAW requiers them in outdoor working enviroments.
