in the hose between the air cleaner and the throttle body. IAT stands for intake air temperature.

it's very common to have paint thinner in an auto body repair shop.?

seeing as it is a newer model vehicle the fuel is direct injection so it can be found near the throttle body for air intake systemit should be the only sensor wiring going into the air hose but if there is more than one set of wires i recomend getting a manual for that vehicle

My car is making funny noises. What couould it be?

Typically, it is located in the intake tube between the air box and the throttle body. FYI- maf is the mass air flow sensor and iat stands for intake air temperature sensor.
