94 toyota pick up I4 FI Oil consumpsuion problem?

Question:
I recently had a valve job. i replaced the head valves springs camshaft timing chain cover timing chain componetes. well after a 1500 miles i noticed that the oil was low. so i kept chencking it and it will tak a quart evry four days. but no oil in the coolant or no blue smoke out the tail pipe my oil pressure reads fine but when i check it its barley on the bottom of the dipstick. where is the oil going? or is it burning but i have no smoke and the plugs arnt fouled i herd with new valves it increaces the compression and was wondering if the old pistons can hold the increace in compression due to the new valves?
