I have a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero with approx. 86000 miles on it, and I have a security light problem?
On other brand cars my experience has been that the temperature sensor fails rather than the fan motors. Here is a photo of the coolant temp. sensor for the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 L : http://info.rockauto.com/beckarnley/deta...The cost was $25.
I've got a speedometer problem, how do I fix ?
there's a sensor relay near the fan, maybe the relay is malfunction.it costs about 100 bucks 4 a new one.How much should I expect to pay for a paint job?
I encountered the same problem... save yourself some time, go to the dealer for service.Start the engine and warm it up to operating temp
switch on the a/c
check to see if the cooling fan is running
How fixable is a radiator leak? help!!?
there is a switch that screws into the engine that goes to ground when the engine heats up
if the switch is bad ot the wire is off the fan will not work unless the a/c is on in which case the fan relay bypasses the temp switch all together
now if with the a/c on the fan runs u have a switch problem
if not the next thing to do is to run 12 volt source from battery straight to fan and see if it works
if it doesnt with power to it then fan motor would be bad
