Question:
i have an 02 civic, auto. 1.7L (230k).the tranny hesitates and revs high b4 shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear when engine is cold, when engine is warm it shifts smoothly. This problem usually lessens during summer hwen engine warms up quick. Tranny fluid was flushed/changed at regular interval with Honda ATF.

What might be the problem with my 2003 alero?
Had the same thing in my tranny also, but it was a V8 Dodge Durango. Did the same things with no help, changed the fluid/filters/etc. Ended up had one of the pistons in the tranny that does the shifting was sticking. Had to have it replaced. Worked great in the summer and winter(after heating up), but not worth a hoot when it was cold.I sucked water through my air filter, have removed it what do i do now?
I had a similar problem with my suburban, I found it was the passing gear cable, I'm not entirely educated on in depth tanny issues, but it sounds like that could be something you may want to have checked.More Questions & Answers ...
