How can I get white paint specks off my black car?

Question:
I was out on a location and they were spray painting and small white specks are all over my car, I bought some rubbing compound and tryed to rub it off ,but this did nothing,any advice other than a new paint job?

Go to a paint store that has an automotive paint dept. Get some 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and wet sand the entire finish till the overspray is completely gone. Its very fine, used to color sand new paint jobs to take out the orange peel effect. Then follow it afterwards with some finer grit 1200 or 1500. After that use an electic polisher with fine liquid compount. Will look like a show car, better than new. If you don't know how to handle a buffer, you can hand rub, but it will take some time.

Try Varsol....on a rag and rub on the spray specs. Wash with soap and water. It should take them off. Then give your car a nice wax!
