Question:
So, if a car has no coolent, or anti-freeze in the car, so the hoses in the car became frozen, is there anyway for me to unthaw the hoses. ( We unhooked the radiator because we thought that it had a hole in it, because there was ice.) The coolent, (anti-freeze) leaked out somehow. Can i start the car without contecting the hoses, and let it drain, or will that hurt the car. Will i have to conect the hoses back up to the radiator and can i do it that way? Or should i let the car sit in a warm garage and wait for it to unthaw?
After I drive my car it smells like sulphur, why?
please help.

Coolant doesnt just leak out leaving water. Someone wasnt keeping it topped with antifreeze. Strait water is never good for your car.Anyhow if the ice is still inside I would sit it in a warm garage to unthaw. Once thawed, Reconnect everything (running engine without coolant bad) and fill with antifreeze/water (proper mixture) Start vehicle making sure to top off if necessary as vehicle will require a little more than originally put in due to water pump maybe being empty. Let run 5-10 minutes to allow thermostat to open. Recheck. Also check for leaks around bottom of radiator and along hoses and water pump (if visible) If none then you were lucky. Happy driving.
i have mould growing on the seats of my car how do i get rid of it?
please dont run it with the hoses disconnected you will kill the engine best thing you can do is let it defrost naturally or pour warm water over the pipes till it runs freely thru the pipes and rad etcHow do you repressurize the clutch after draining the fluid?
Letting it unthaw is your best bet. when done, make sure you have 50/50 antifreeze in it.1997 cadillac catera security?
poor hot water on the hoses untill they melt, or use a hair dryerWhy does smoke come out cars muffles when its cold outside?
you need to make sure that the water in the block didnt freeze and blow a freeze plug, when you let it thaw out and hook everything up, fill it and run it, but look for a puddle dumping from the block. good luckLet it defrost on it's own. You have no way to control how fast the engine will heat up. I hope the hoses are the only thing you have to worry about. If it got cold enough to freeze the hoses you may have a bust block as well. When you start you engine after it's defrosted be careful. After it has run long enough to warm up keep an eye on the exhaust pipe and see if there is any water coming out of it. If there is an excessive amount of water coming out you may have a cracked block or head. Good luck.
sounds like to me you may end up with a cracked block
does anyone know were i can watch pimp my ride episodes? thanks?
Running the engine won't thaw the hoses because coolant won't circulate through them. Warm the car up in the garage, top it off with 50/50 antifreeze mix and look around for leaks. You might have popped some freeze plugs in the engine block, so don't drive until you're sure the system is still sound.More Questions & Answers ...
