I have a 1997 Toyota 4Runner that is in need of all components on the rear brakes. I need to find out about how much that should cost me in order to not get ripped off. I need drums, shoes, and anything else that should be replaced. Anybody have a rough number?

about $300-$350 depending on the quality of brake shoes and drums that you want. If they want more then, I'd get another opinion......can I drive a short distance with this wrong?
It's different everywhere for different vehicles...to get a rough estimate, I have a 2000 Grand Prix, and I just bought new rear brakes, just the pads...and it was 35 dollars...hope this helps a little, I don't even know what drums are, lol....don't laugh.Where is the dipstick for transmission located on a 1999 OLDS Alero?
