why does my 19993 ford F-350 diesel truck die during deceleration?
It depends how damaged the clutch is. My car has the clutch messed up to where you gotta press it all the way to the bottom to shift. In any case, you should see a mechanic. What are some transmissions that are Compatible with Small Blocks 350s, preferably 6speeds?
The clutch is used to put the car into gear. If you cannot drive forward or backward, it appears your clutch may be shot.Pontiac Grand Prix dead heater and no power in plug?
if the cluch is worn out or failed, there has gotta be a difference in the way the clutch pedal "feels". can you drive the car? not really. you may be able to get the car up the driveway and to the garage, but that's about it.Vehicle Extended Warranty Bumper-to-bumper coverage?
Nope...Not if you know for a fact that the clutch is completely worn ....if you can't go forward or reverse, it defintely is, by the way. You'll need a new clutch asap...and a rental for the time being!
no, get it towed to a shop and get the clutch fixed, otherwise your gonna wind up replacing the flywheel, and possibly the transmission as well. btw johnny j is totally wrong, you cannot move the car with the starter because of a device inside the transmission that will not allow the engine to start if the clutch is in the engaged positioned.this was done because people would leave the vehicle parked in gear, and if it rolled itd start the engine, since its in gear the engine will keep moving the vehicle.like i said, get it towed, and like the other responder said, get a rental.
its sounds like it could be that your clutch must be GONE. most of the time when ppl say thet need to replace the clutch, its because the notice the when they drive the engine speed will increase but the wheel speed will not, thats because the cluth is slipping. if you can't get the car in gear. its a chance that your clutch is not being released.
