How long should I wait before removing a radiator cap?

Question:
I left my car in the garage for about two hours and the engine's still warm. How long should I wait before removing my radiator cap before replacing it? Should I still expect spray even if it's cold and safe to remove?

Not sure on the exact length of time but two hours seems to be enough. I'd also recommend using a towel to twist it off just to be on the safe side. Remember that the cap is two staged for safety so the towel will protect your hand, face, etc... from spray if it still has any pressure.

can you weld pot metal?

wait until your car cools down completely, or until u dont feel any pressure on the radiator hoses.

Should I ask for my money back?

Wait until the car has cooled down. If it has been two hour then it shoulod be fine to remove. It you need to remove it in a hurry while the car is hot then just get a towl and use it to remove the cap...bairly turn it at first to release the pressure so you dont get sprayed
