fuel injected? if f so, sounds like your fuel filter, pump or injectors may be clogged or just done, replace them, i used a can of this stuff called sea foam, for cleaning fuel systems, it worked great on my vehicle.

i own a shop,and it sounds like it may have fuel problems with it, if you have to give it gas to start it,it should start right up without having to do that,have the gas filter checked in it,this maybe clogged up,and not allowing enough gas to get to it,good luck with it i hope this helps.
