ok i used to have a really bad transmission fluid leak in m ycar- turned out to be a bad pump in th transmission, along with some other things. Set me back about a grand. So after that was fixed the car was running great. I checked the oil and it was at the red mark (full).
About 2 weeks later (today) I check my oil and it is barely above 1/2 full! I look under the car and cannot spot a "leak", however I look under the hood and I see on the bottom of the engine it looks like oil is dripping - it is mostly falling on this part that looks drenched in oil - im not sure if its the pan or not.
My 91 buick park ave.is getting power but will not start ,the starter just clicks what could it be?
I checked the oil today on a cold engine though - might it be higher if I check it after running the car for a while?
Clutch is slipping - can I drive it?

I have a Ford A/C R134 with 0 pressure and won't accept a charge even if compressor is running.?

Well if you see oil on the ground then you know you have a leak
you may not see a leak because it is burning off on the motor. If you run your hand accross do you get oil on it. It may not be leaking at all, it may just be your car is burning a lot of oil. You should always let the car sit for a while before you check the oil in it.
you vaccume line could be sucking up the fuel. take your car in again and get it checked out.

your car could be burning oil. Oil leaks are not always external from the engine. Good indicator of this might be a slight miss upon acceleration. If you are mechanically incline you might pull the spark plugs and see if they have traces of oil on them. But before you do that take a rag and rub inside the tailpipe if it is oily you may have just located the exit point. Take it to a reputable service tech and get ready to open your wallet.

Is it necessary to still wax new cars?
i own a repair shop,and if your not sure where its coming from take it and have it checked,id like to guess at it ,but id probably be wrong on it,have it put up in the air on a lift and checked,then you can see the bottom of it real good,and this is how you,ll find the leak ,its the best way i know to truly find a leak on any car,good luck i hope this helps.Help about my car breaks, are they bad?
look around the "intake manifold in rear of engine by the distributer".check the "oil sending unit".also check the cylinder head covers".these places are all what I call "hot"places .gaskets are the 1st to wear out,&leak oil.More Questions & Answers ...
