It might be a good idea to take it a little easy but by the time a car hits the lot , the engine has been brought in enough that it should be able to take what you put on it.Change Your Engine Oil after the first five hundred miles and take a good look at it.

I think your question is "should you drive a new car under 50 mph for the first 100 miles......if so, Some people will tell you that, but I don't remember ever reading it in a new car manual. ASK THE DAMN DEALERWhat to look for in a used transmission from a junkyard?
I've heard that before, but I don't think it is that important anymore. I just bought a new car this year and the salesman didn't mention it. So much of today's car are built with robotics and laser technology that everything is pretty well in place when you get it.Not necessary for modern engines with modern oils. The best thing to do is not rev the engine too high, especially before it comes up to normal operating temperature. Never rev a cold engine (new or old) as this will reduce its life.

All I know is that while breaking in the car that drivin too fast is bad, and driving at a constant speed for along time is bad. Change it up.More Questions & Answers ...
