Question:
I have checked the water pump to see if the fan is blowing it back and that is not the case. I am assuming that is the tranny pan directly behind the oil pan? there is no trail of water that I can see to indicate its just running down the transmission but maybe its a freeze plug? is there a design where water runs through the tranny? my fluid and oil have no water in them

What is the best SYNTHETIC motor oil to use for a Honda CRV 2002?
You might want to check that your coolant system overflow isn't routed near the trans. It's also possible that it's just condensation from the AC unit if you're using it.Where is the best place to get an alternator replaced?
Are you losing coolant?
EDIT: Check your heater hoses and your thermostat housing to make sure it's not coming from either of them. Otherwise, get the radiator full and run the car for a while and look for a leak. Also, check your radiator for a "gas-like" smell. If you can smell gasoline in the coolant, then you've blown a headgasket. It's also possible (though not very likely) that you have a crack in the block itself.
