How can you remove the grease on your hands?
Sounds like a clogged fuel line or a bad fuel pumphow to replace an in-cabin micro filter for a 2004 nissan altima 2.5S?
was it stored with gas in it?? If so, first drain the gas and replace, then start looking at rebuilding the carb, when gasoline evaporates it leaves a "varnish" which will make the vehicle almost impossible to start, need to clean the jets etc. use Stabil or other additive and fogger for storage. It works believe me I use ithem on everything from the lawnmowers and motorcycles to my chevelle and 75 GMC motorhome.you should put new oil in it so your seals will be lube bake up and it sounds like your fuel pump is bad from sitting to long.
how far can u drive without a alternator belt?
you need to look with air cleaner off in top of the carburator and move the accelerator linkage to see if its pumping gas out of the squirters. If not you can take a oil squirt can mix 50% gas and 50% oil squirt this mixture into the little vent tube at the top of carburator.Fill this tube till it overflows then try pumping the linkage it should squirt gas.The oil in the gas will build compression and hopefully get your valves and rings to seal. If it fires and runs for a minute refill carburator again.Make sure you have some fresh gasoline dumped in to the tank.If the tank is almost full you may have to drain it,and put fresh gas in it, to get it running.More Questions & Answers ...
