Things like this always happen to me, so I'm not surprised: but this all happened too randomly, and ALL TOGETHER.
After replacing my front struts and back shocks my car rides rough again...?
I was at a bank depositing funds and when I drove off, MY CARS SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING!! I thought it was a minor problem, so I drove like everything was ok, and realized my RPM wouldnt shift.. I got scared thinking I would blow the engine so I just drove at 3,000 rpm... I looked at my gas gauge and it kept going from 30 gallons to 3 gallons everytime I would stop or drive..

I pulled to the side, put the car in park and back in drive, and noticed a bit of grinding with shifting to drive... I checked all the fluids, everything was fine. This happened ALL TOGETHER...

This is a very common problem to all dodge & chrysler products for a ten year span or so...which petrol should I use for my santro, ordinary or premium for better mileage and maintainance?
The Speedometer , Tachometer & Guages themselves are very simple and completely Electronic. In these vehicles, it all fits into a giant Controlling Circuit Board at the back the Instrument Cluster.
I've been running full synthetic oil, can I switch to synthetic blend?
This Circuit Board has a Tendency to Overheat and Burn a Resistor or Capacitor Trace. Once the Problem Starts; The BEST cure is a new Updated Circuit Board from the Chrysler Dealership. (I have tried to Resolder these boards and found out that the Updated versions solve the problem the first time!!)
I have installed many , many of these boards. Average price is $180.00 to $300.00 for the part list. Labor is fairly simple at one hour. So expect to put out $400.00 or less to "do the job right".

its probably electronic problem,you need to check your wires for the dash, as for the grinding i could only think you need oil change for the engine or check your transmission oilsounds like fuses to me, check all of your fuses and see if any have blown
The guy said grinding, not engine seizing up, come on CARRO go another 4 years.

OK someone else has luck like me! anyway get the owners book out, find the fuses, check them(with key in off ) make sure there is no corrosion or to much dust,than also check relays . even check battery connections or melted wires around the exhaust.It all sounds like a bad earth interrupting power. Over here our older commodore's (93 v6) do this sometimes.It could be power to electronic controlled transmission is cutting in and out therefore making grinding sound. All else fail get a dealer to check fault codes,of engine computer just to be sure.but start with the easy stuff. cheers
