you might try a rubbing compound followed by polishing compound and then polish. if that does not work chemicals are next with light thinners like naptha or stronger stuff is Methyl Ethyl Keytone. Go it easy on the chemicals and test on a spot that is not normally seen like under the hood.buffing compound. start with the finest grit. it's better to use more elbow grease than to use a larger grit and ruin the paint.
use a solvent based compound rather than water. try a auto paint store rather than an auto parts store. the counterman usually knows his products and can make a recommendation
