for a 1999-2003, if i remember correctly (the first two steps might be reversed),
disconnect the wires by pulling the white rectangular connector, take out the round black rubber cover, pop out the spring by pressing one side in (i think it's the left side) and downwards, replace the bulb, put everything back together. no tools needed, except maybe plastic gloves if you don't want grease from your fingers on your bulb. look at the manual if you have it because it has pictures. same steps for passenger side bulb.
