Engine noises on 51 corsa c (uk)?
when the engine has warmed up , there is a strange noise which seems to be coming from the offside of the engine. When i switch it off it makes a grrr noise. If anybody has had a similar experience or knows what the noise is, any info would be appreciated or if anybody knows of any uk recalls. i suspect it could be the timing chain but i'm not sure

could be the exhaust rattling but if it could be the chain do not wait get it fixed it will cost you much more if it goes and you will have to be towed at high cost.

I also have a 51 reg Corsa C that has very similar symptoms to what you describe. I'd suggest that next time your car makes the noise that you check the radiator fan. On mine the noise only happens when the fan kicks in. I believe it's either the motor or the fan bearing - haven't had chance to fix it yet though!! Let me know how you get on please :o)
