How do i remove scratch/paint/rubber/resi... from another cars side view mirror on the body of my car?

Question:
in a parking lot, another car was clearly trying to park next to me and their side view mirror dug into the driver side of my car while they moved forward and left a 3 foot long strip (1 inch high) of what looks to be paint or residue from the mirror. there is also a dent but i'm trying to get the scratch/residue out and see how it looks. any suggestions? thx
