How can I tell if my head gasket is blown or if it's just my heater core?

i own a repair shop, and probably whats happened to it,,the rotors are warped on it,,they,ll do this when they get thin,,and worn down,,and also heat can cause them to warp also,,but that's whats causing this to happen,i don't think it would be a broke rotor,,because they usually come apart if there this bad,,id have it checked just to be sure,,good luck hope this help,s.

Low RPM, is it a problem?

probably warped rotors or drums have the brake shop check for you and get the tires balanced also.

sounds like brake rotors are warped.

My 1999 Ford Escort zx2 cranks but won't start...?

the problem most likely would be that the rotors are warped, another thing it could be is the tie rod end(s). to check the tie rods jack the car up till the front wheels are off the ground, then grab the tire and move it side to side. if there is play its the tie rod.if not your rotors will have to be turned or replaced.

How to restart a car with a "dead" battery?

If you feel feedback oscillations through the brake pedal, you may have a warped rotor. Since you have some shaking without applying the brakes, I would suggest that you get your tires balanced or inspect the tires (replace them if needed). A bad CV joint could also cause vibration as you have realized. Usually, these will make popping sounds when you turn a corner, but if it has slack in the joint, a vibration can occur. Jack up the front wheels one at a time (take the tire off). Look at the condition of the rotor and visually inspect the drive axle for any problems. Good luck.

My car was reving itself?

could be a warped rotor, which sometimes can be turned for cheaper than replacing. not sure on your car though. Have a brake and tire check done on it. . .make sure none of your rims are bent, and that your tires are in good shape as well. Also, if there is any joint damage, like a CVboot that is cracked or busted, you will want to see about getting that replaced (CVboot is a boot at your tie rod ends there are 2 per axle, an inner which is up near your engine <you would most likely not be feeling this one with what you are describing> and the outer, which is right by your wheel) If your CVboot is busted, I recommend replacing both sides on each axle, just to be safe. It sounds more like a rotor problem though, since you are braking when you feel the vibrations.
