2002 Civic EX IAT sensor help (cold air intake)?

Question:
i got a full auto diagnostic on my car and it said that the temperature in the IAT sensor was higher than usual, i was told to get a new IAT sensor and the check engine light should go away is this true

It's a very good possibility. If you can get someone to put it on a scanner that has the data readout it would be easier to tell. If it's only like 10 degrees high then that's probably not going to fix it. If it says the temp is like 200 degrees then the sensor is either bad or there's a short.
